Also fits Century Club and Post War Celebration F3 Cabs.
The F3 dummy comes with a head light that will
also light the interior.
Interior pieces
Fitting the interior
The F3 dummy shell. Test fitting the interior.
The PWC F3 Shell fitting the interior. Fits the slot between the back of the window and the ridge in the shell. The back notch is to exhaust heat from the light bulb.
Assembly
The interior painted with engineers installed. Ready for installation. Don't get too carried away on the detail. Small details really aren't visible. My engineers had seat pads built in making them sit a little tall. Trimming them down to their own seats will make them just right in the interior.
White paint used to help reflect the light back into the interior. Holes in the front of the interior are to allow more light in to highlight the interior and engineer figures.
Interior
installed level against the
bottom of the window. Only a little
dab of Hot glue is needed at the 4 bottom corners to hold the
interior in place. The
interior does not touch the frame. Lionel has been using hard
industrial grade hot glue for assembly on some applications. I used the hobby grade, it works.
A few views of the lighted cab. The light color back wall helps reflect the light.
